1. What is the purpose of this platform?Pretty simple. We want to connect freelancers and clients in the media world. Things are getting more global, but it still feels surprisingly hard to just find people fast when you need them. The freelance world can be tough, so the idea here is to make it easier to find work and easier to find crew, wherever you are.
2. Is this platform commercial?WeHFree is a non-profit project built to help companies find the right media talent and to support freelancers by giving them visibility and access to opportunities.
There is no business plan, no pricing model, and no hidden agenda. This is built from freelancers, for freelancers.
If one day the running costs become too high, we might have to rethink things. But if that ever happens, we will be fully transparent about it.
3. Who runs this platform?The platform was started by Alex, based in Germany. He works in media and was annoyed that something like this didn’t already exist in a clean and simple form. This is currently a passion project and more of an experiment to see if it actually helps people.

We do not show surnames, emails, phone numbers, or any contact details publicly. Only registered users can view the database, and even then, they only see limited information like first name, country, and professions. Contact details are shared privately by users themselves in messages.
Your data is securely handled using trusted infrastructure providers, and we follow standard best practices to keep everything safe.
We also make it easy to share a "business card" in one click, so please make sure your profile is complete.
5. Can I help improve the platform?Yes, absolutely.
Feedback is always welcome. We are trying to keep the platform simple, useful, and functional, and suggestions genuinely help us improve it step by step. We already keep a long list of ideas, fixes, and features to work through over time.

6. Will we add rates to the profiles?No. We are not planning to show rates. Rates vary a lot around the world and we do not want to create pressure or compare people against each other. Pricing is something that should be discussed directly between the freelancer and the client. Everyone is free to ask for what they feel is fair and come to an agreement together, without outside influence.
7. Will there be a rating system?Not exactly. We are not planning any downvoting or negative rating features. These systems are often abused and can damage reputations unfairly. Instead, you will be able to recommend or vouch for people you worked with. Positive support only. The count of recommendations will be shown in profiles.
8. Is there a mobile version?Yes, there is. Mobile users are automatically redirected to it.
We aim to keep both desktop and mobile as consistent as possible, but you may notice slight differences between the two. New features are usually introduced on desktop first and then adapted to mobile shortly after.
That said, the mobile version is fully functional and just as capable as the desktop version, with no real disadvantages for you.
9. Why does this website look a bit plain?Right now, we are focusing on making everything work smoothly and keeping things easy to use. At the same time, we are already actively working on the design and continuously improving the overall look and feel as well as the dynamics of the platform.
If the platform grows and people enjoy using it, we will definitely take things even further and make it properly polished at some point. 😉
10. What are the badges you can see on user profiles?These badges mark users who support the platform directly or from an early stage through feedback, ideas, testing, and helping WeHFree grow. Nothing special, just a small appreciation mark for our supporters.
